Recently, in an interview given to Hindi Rush, Madhu recalled this incident and said that in the scene she had to cry, but when she tried to use glycerin, Nana refused.
Madhu said that by working with Nana, she started acting more naturally and emotionally. She said, ‘While working with Nana Patekar, I became a method actor. In one scene I had to use glycerin, but he didn’t let me do that. He said feel it, tears should come on their own. But I couldn’t do it. Then he actually slapped me. He slapped me so hard that tears came out of my eyes on their own.’
