Active terrorist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir received a massive blow today when a terrorist commander in Pakistan, who hailed from Kashmir’s Pulwama district, named Arjumand Gulzar, whose code name was Hamza Burhan, was shot dead. This incident took place today. Today in Pakistan, this individual named Arjumand Gulzar, who is said to be a commander of Al-Badr, was shot. Unknown gunmen shot him dead in broad daylight.
He had been in Pakistan for the last eight years and was operating terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir from there. He was recruiting terrorists for Jammu and Kashmir and creating an atmosphere of tension here. This individual, Hamza Burhan, was a resident of Kharbatpura Ratnipura, Pulwama, and in 2017, he left his village for Pakistan under the pretext of studying, but went there and joined a terrorist organization. Although it is also said about him that he was active before as well, and he was somehow involved in the encounters that took place in Srinagar or Pulwama. It is also reported that in the Lawaypora encounter, he had initially provided weapons to the terrorists there and subsequently leaked their information. So, this is undoubtedly a massive setback for the terrorist organizations and terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir. Regarding this Hamza, we also want to tell our viewers that in 2018,
he used to openly upload videos on social media, threatening police personnel, security forces, and individuals whom he accused of being informers who passed information about terrorists to security forces. Between 2018 and 2020, he carried out extensive recruitment. In the districts of Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam, he brainwashed many youths into terrorist ranks—youths who were from backward areas and very poor families—encouraging them into terrorist groups and showing them the path of terrorism. In 2022, the
Central Government declared him a terrorist, and in the gazette notification issued back then, the Ministry of Home Affairs clearly stated that Arjumand Gulzar Dar, whose code name is Hamza Gulzar, had joined the Al-Badr terrorist outfit and was waging a war against India, conspiring to launch attacks and promoting terrorist activities against the country. When this notification was issued by the Home Ministry in 2022, this terrorist was residing in Pakistan, and this terrorist Hamza had also married in Pakistan, had children, and was leading a comfortable life. But today, he has been gunned down in Pakistan. He was born in 1999 in Kharbatpura Ratnipura, Pulwama district, and making a pretext of studying,
he left Jammu and Kashmir and his village in Ratnipura in 2017 to go to Pakistan for studies, but joined the Al-Badr terrorist organization there. It is also said about him that he played a significant role in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack in which around 40 CRPF personnel were killed. Continuous information will keep coming on this matter. But one thing is clearly evident that today, this Hamza Burhan, who was also known by the name Doctor, had repeatedly come out in support of terrorists, making videos and warning of attacks on security forces, and his role has been quite extensive in terrorism, whether it was flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir or in Pakistan.
